Resources for Jazz Musicians During COVID-19

As we are painstakingly experiencing, our world has changed greatly since our last e-blast communication. The COVID-19 outbreak has resulted in an unparalleled health and economic impact on all aspects of life.  We are deeply concerned about the devastating financial impact on the performing arts community here in Kansas City and, most notably, our treasured jazz artists.

To that end, Kansas City Jazz ALIVE has compiled a list of relief funding sources and other resources available to artists.  As you know, the list of resources are constantly evolving and as such, this list is not all-inclusive.  We urge you to check in frequently to survey the extensive list of resources provided by these fantastic regional arts and non-profit umbrella organizations:

Selected List of Funding Resources for Artists:

If you are aware of any existing or new relief funding opportunities not listed herein, please let us know so we can update this list moving forward.  Please email your suggestions to include fund or funder name, website address, and any pertinent descriptive details to Greg Carroll

Most importantly, we wish you all the very best in good physical and mental health as we continue to adjust to what has become a new normal.  It is our hope that in the very near future, the stage lights will be lit and the sound that so aptly is Kansas City Jazz joyfully rings aloud with our beloved artists on stage and friends in the house.

Be well. Be safe. Support live Jazz!
